Encouraging Bible Verses for Moms
The Scripture quotes in this blog post are from the New King James Version.

Daily devotions are essential for moms!
Spending time in prayer and reading the Bible in the early morning solitude benefits not only your marriage but also improves your parenting skills. In my experience, if I wake up early enough to have a quiet morning time with the Lord—praying, reading the Bible, and meditating on His word—I will have more patience with my kids that day. Period. It is just that simple. Whenever I am in a struggle during the day, I sense a small voice whispering to me something I read that morning and reminding me of that quiet time I had with the Lord. I believe this is done through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This encourages and motivates me to take time for daily devotions with The Lord. And for me, it really helps to have it in the early mornings. If I wait with my devotions until later that day, my experience is that it will not help me as much during the day. I have an empty cup that must be filled every day. I need wisdom from God’s Word every day because I forget very easily. The quiet morning time helps me get mentally ready for the day and tune in with my Father in Heaven, which helps me start the day with a calm and a quiet spirit.
My deepest wish is that God’s love will flow through me and that the children will meet and see God through me and my life. There is nothing I can say and teach if I do not also show them love in action. I do not think my children want to have their Jesus as their friend if I do not show them love from above. In 1 Corinthians 13:1, it says: “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.”
This is why I need to connect with God and get wisdom from my Father’s instruction to bear the fruit of the spirit. The teaching of kindness is only successful if I am kind myself. To be honest, there is no greater joy than to live God’s plan, lead people to God, have the Good news burning inside of me, and teach my children about what great joy we have in God.
God’s word is an encouraging word. There is something for everyone, at every time of their life. And, at the end of the day, there is nothing more important for struggling moms than to be in the humble state of His servant, to trust God, and teach the children about God and His unconditional love. God is love, and in John 15:13 it says: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” This is the good work that our Father has shown us; He is the God of all comfort.

If there is a time for being connected with the Heavenly Father, it is during motherhood. During this season of life, you will need all the help you can get to meet the demanding task that motherhood is. There are many beautiful Bible Verses that inspire and encourage mothers, but let it not be merely words on paper. Below I have collected some of my favorite Verses that I could find for mothers. Apply this collection of Bible Verses to your own life and rely on them. During difficult times, you will especially need to have the Word of God close to your heart.

- 1 Peter 5:7: Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
- Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
- John 16:33: These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
- Psalm 34:18: The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
- Romans 8:26-28: Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Motivating and Uplifting Bible Verses for Moms

- 2 Corinthians 12:9-10: And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - Hebrews 12:1-2: Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
- Proverbs 31:25: Strength and honor are her clothing; She shall rejoice in time to come.
- Proverbs 31:28-30: Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her: “Many daughters have done well, But you excel them all.” Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
- 2 Timothy 1:7: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Find Strength From Above
May the Scripture fill you with hope and joy. May God’s faithful instruction strengthen your inner self and give you grace-filled thoughts. Your own household will be blessed by your commitment to the Lord. Pay close attention to what God is telling you, get your understanding from the Scripture, and know that time spent with God is not time spent in vain.
Especially the new mom needs strength from above because motherhood is hard work. No question about that. But, we are not left alone and we should not be afraid. Be of good cheer and trust our God of Hope. The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has promised to help His people.
